Certified Medication Aide Course

This class provides students with the knowledge and skills needed to administer medications to patients in Assisted Living and long-term care facilities. Upon completion of the course, students will receive certification as a Certified Medication Aide by the State of GA. This course is 2 days. First day is theory with questions and answers. Second day is clinical demonstration and testing. Must score 80% or higher to pass the test.
This course requires self-study and attendance of 1 day, in-class session that will include demonstration, review, skills lab and testing. A 100 question study guide packet, should be downloaded and completed, before you attend the class. (The link will be emailed to you, after you register.)

IV/phlebotomy Refresher Course

$899

The IV/Phlebotomy refresher course is for medical professionals who have previous training or certification with Phlebotomy such as a LPN, RN EMT, or Phlebotomist.

This one day certification course will be taught by both NP and a RN infusion specialist. Students will learn through direct instruction, simulation, and hands-on skills training. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Patient care

  • Proper technique

  • Indications and complications.

  • Site preparation and anatomical details.

  • Infection control and universal precautions.

  • Supplies needed for procedure.

  • Aftercare.

Every student must complete a minimum of (1) individually supervised successful IV infusion and (1) venipuncture for blood collection on live human, in the laboratory clinical practice.
Upon successfully completing the course, the student will be given a certification on IV and blood withdrawal.
